Increasing heat, humidity expected today, thunderstorms in store Tuesday

Right now, the entire region is under a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather on Tuesday.

A brief period of morning showers possible Tuesday.

Currently, it looks like a small wave of showers and storms develop in the late morning, but give way to a brief period of clearing.

Some storms can be severe and can produce strong winds, hail and heavy downpours.

The National Weather service forecasts the main line of storms should move into the area in the overnight hours of Monday and continue through the Tuesday morning rush hour. We'll be mostly done with storms around or before sunset and dry out into Wednesday morning with a lingering shower possible. Humidity bobs up and down the rest of the week. Showers and storms will be mostly along and south of I-96 with severe weather chances around the I-94 area.

By Wednesday and Thursday highs will stay in the upper 70s in Cleveland and overnight temps will dip to the lower 60s. Mostly cloudy skies clear out slowly with highs in the low-to-mid 80s.
