While Acer claimed that its refreshed Swift 5 model, weighing 990 grams, maintains its position as the world's lightest 14-inch notebook, ASUS just a couple of hours later unveiled a laptop weighing just 880 grams. Addressing our biggest complaint from the early 2019 model, it also sports an option for the Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card, with a separate model featuring Intel's Iris Pro graphics. The graphics processing in Acer Swift 5 comes from the NVIDIA GeForce MX250GPU sitting inside it. Keeping the same lightweight magnesium design it is famous for, the notebook now weighs in at less than 990 grams and is just 14.95 mm thin. The screen features a three-side narrow bezel with a high screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 per cent.

The Acer Swift 3 will be available from September end starting from €799.

The latest Swift 3 has a 14-inch Full HD IPS screen and weighs 1.19kg (2.62 pounds). The device also has a built-in fingerprint reader through Windows Hello. It also comes standard with USB 3.1 Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port, dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6, and Windows Hello-supported fingerprint reader.

Acer Swift 3 notebook comes with a 14-inch Full HD IPS screen display that has 4.37 mm thin bezels and an 84% screen-to-body ratio. For further color enhancement the Swift 3 also includes Acer Color Intelligence™ and Acer ExaColor Technology for enhanced, vivid images.

Reliance Jio Fiber launched
He also said premium customers would be "able to watch movies in their living rooms the same day these movies are released". Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led company is slated to launch optical fibre-based JioFiber broadband service from September 5.

Acer's refreshed models in Swift notebook and Aspire all-in-one desktop ranges are also powered by the latest 10th Gen IntelACore processors. Memory options on the laptop include up to 16 GB RAM and up to 512 GB SSD.

Other options are USB hub, camera for livestreaming, headset holder, and seat stabilizer. To find out about availability, product specifications and prices in specific markets, please contact your nearest Acer office or retailer via www.acer.com.

Putting the weight contest aside, the Acer Swift 5 is still an impressive workhorse for a notebook that weighs less than a kilo. Please visit www.acer.com for more information.
