Now as per reports in Deadline, it's happy news for the insane fans of the insane show, a new GoT Prequel will showcase the "beginning of the end of House Targaryen" and 300 years before the Game of Thrones events took place.

The new series, created by Ryan Condal (co-creator/executive producer of Colony) and GoT author George R.R. Martin, is speculated to explore the infamous bloodline roughly 300 years before Dany, and her three fire-breathing dragons, began her quest for the Iron Throne.

The series is set to follow George R.R. Martin's book "Fire & Blood", the first volume of the two-part history of the Targaryens in Westeros. Martin had hinted at the project for a while on his blog, imploring fans looking for answers on the unannounced prequels to read Fire & Blood for clues.

A representative for HBO said the network could not confirm a Thursday report from Deadline that the lengthy history of the fictional Targaryen family had inspired a new show.

Focusing on Westeros during another period of civil war makes it a little too derivative of Game of Thrones for my taste, and if the hook of this new show is the dragons, I don't see why we should jump into a story where all the dragons die very rapidly and brutally.

The cabler originally announced that five spinoff series were in the works. "The one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer".

Interestingly, Martin teased that this would be the setting of the third Game of Thrones series nearly a year ago. The show will explore the origins of the White Walkers, the mysteries of Essos and the legends of the early Stark family.

Nine other stars have also signed on, including Jonathan Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie, Jamie Campbell Bower, Denise Gough, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp and Toby Regbo.

But fear not, loyal Game of Thrones fans!
