New Poll: Sanders, Warren Surging While Biden, Harris Slip

Some of his closest rivals were greeted more like rock stars. Democrats need to vote for the person they want to lead the country, not the person they feel will beat Trump. His crowds are warm, but rarely high-energy. The event is a key opportunity for candidates to woo political power brokers in the first-in-the nation primary state.

Biden's team insists such optics are overrated as indicators of a candidate's strength.

But after the 2016 campaign, enthusiasm is on the minds of Democrats.

While talking about the current POTUS, Biden said "Donald Hump". Could the sexism that helped undermine Hillary Clinton also undercut Warren? Bernie Sanders of Vermont or Sen. Elizabeth Warren - was striking. Will she work to resurrect her criticism of Biden or does she believe that Elizabeth Warren is now her intended target?

Rival campaigns grumbled privately that Warren, who represents neighboring MA, was benefiting from a home-field advantage. He once supported Warren but has switched allegiance to Joe Biden.

"Unless the calendar changes, she still has a legitimate chance", Sellers said, suggesting that Biden's hold on the lead was fragile.

But the former vice president has been on the defensive on the subject since early in the year, when his dismissal of China's economic threat triggered criticism from Trump and Sanders, among others. Warren has recorded the rise in the number of delegates support due to other low-level presidential candidates supporting her.

To be sure, the weekend convention was full of Democratic activists who are not necessarily representative of the average primary voter.

Former Vice President Joe Biden had yet another verbal slip-up on the campaign trail on Saturday but at least this time he could laugh it off as it presented quite a silly - and appropriate? - twist on Donald Trump's name. They were not a significant presence at the partisan convention. And since Carter, no non-incumbent Democrat who has won the New Hampshire primary once has been able to capture a repeat victory.

With three minutes left, Allen under-threw a pass down the sideline looking for Brown, who came back on the ball to make the play. While the drive stalled after that, Stephen Hauschka drilled a 43-yard field goal to finally get the Bills on the board.

Warren sat down with Huey-Burns in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Saturday. However, she said in October she would take a "hard look" at running, all but confirming the rumors she had her eyes on the White House.

Others mocked her for taking advice from the woman who lost to Trump, while one even predicted Warren would pick Clinton to be her vice-president. Those who qualified for the debates but not for the ABC/Post poll results are Senators Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro. Bernie Sanders and 37-year-old Pete Buttigieg, who has urged voters to elevate a new generation of leaders.

"Every time we've tried to play it safe with established and Washington-tenured figures, every single time we've come up short", Buttigieg told reporters after his remarks.

Biden, 76, and his campaign have struggled in the past few weeks to overcome a narrative of the former vice president's own making: his propensity to confuse and misremember details as he talks to voters.

"I think that he means well but, you know, he grabbed my hands right away and that was really uncomfortable", she stated.

In fact, some of his rivals have drawn bigger crowds, both in Iowa and elsewhere.

However, while some are backing Warren for now, many voters, presidential nominees and Democratic Party officials were preaching support for whomever the nominee may be.

Ten candidates will take the stage on Thursday for the third round of the Democratic primary debates, hosted by George Stephanopoulos on ABC News and Univision.

The politician from DE said the following: "I can not and will not let this man be re-elected president of the United States of America".
