Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters had a seizure on the team plane after overdosing on "gummies," Fox Sports 640's Andy Slater reports. Multiple reports have indicated that Waiters holds practically no value in the NBA's trade market. The 27-year-old missed Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns with what the Heat labeled as a "stomachache". League rules prohibit the use of THC.

"Please don't believe the rumors the media will report fake news to get clicks and likes", Waiters' mom, Monique Brown, wrote on Instagram Saturday following news the Heat player had a seizure on the team plane Thursday after eating too many sweets.

LeBron James Is All-In On The Deion Sanders Head Coach Rumors
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport , citing unnamed sources, tweeted that Sanders is being considered for the position. Florida State fired head coach Willie Taggart on November 3 after he went 9-12 at the helm.

Luckily for the Heat, both Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro, who have seen an increase in playing time during Waiters's absence, are having impressive starts to the season. They have suspended Waiters during the first games of the season due to his comments on social media regarding his diminishing role with the Heat. He has been on the active list for only two of the Heat's nine games thus far but has yet to dress and sit on the bench for a game. Waiters is owed $24 million over this season and next as part of a deal he signed with the Heat in 2017. He's also set to lose $1.2 million in bonuses if he misses four more games this season.
