Dolphins trick play baffles Eagles defense in huge win for Miami

It's the low point of a season that has felt like it never really got off the ground.

Pederson helped lead the Eagles to their first Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots, but looking back on that victory, are we sure that wasn't more credit to the assistant coaches?

At a press conference later on Monday, Pederson said that he didn't expect to make any changes to the starting lineup before next Monday's game and that his message to the team is that they still have a great opportunity because of how things stand in the NFC East. Not only were the Eagles fighting for a playoff spot, but they would have tied the Dallas Cowboys for first place in the NFC East with a win.

Week 16 at the Linc is shaping up to be a de facto NFC East championship game.

Any retaliatory action from France would have to be taken at an EU-wide level because the 28-nation bloc is a customs union, which applies duties at its border.

Immediately after the game, one Eagles fan made a decision to burn Carson Wentz's jersey and plead with the young quarterback to retire.

If there's one strong cause for concern, it's that all six of Dallas' wins this season have come against teams well out of the playoff picture - Giants twice, Redskins, Dolphins, Eagles and Lions. Since then, the Cowboys have posted a 3-3 record, including their Week 13 loss to the Bills. The Eagles are 4-4 in those games. That tilted common opponents in Philadelphia's favor, even if Dallas beats Chicago next week.

This season there is no doubt the Eagles have been banged up this season, but being banged up doesn't have anything to do with effort, and after the Eagles loss to the Dolphins, Pederson admitted that the Dolphins wanted it more than the Eagles did. They play hard. You see that on film.
