Ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Reina joins Aston Villa on loan

Pepe Reina has returned to the Premier League, joining Aston Villa on a six-month loan deal from from AC Milan on loan, while Bournemouth's Asmir Begovic has moved in the opposite direction - to San Siro on a short-term deal.

With Orjan Nyland in goal, Villa were thrashed 6-1 by Manchester City on Sunday to slip into the Premier League relegation zone.

"At the start of the summer we were looking for an experienced goalkeeper and brought in Tom Heaton".

The Spaniard could make his debut in Brighton this weekend.

Villa needed to add to their goalkeeping options after England worldwide Tom Heaton was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
