The pop star posted the quote on Monday with the caption, "Communion goes beyond walls".

Earlier this week, Spears shared a post to her Instagram page calling for wealth redistribution and a general strike during the current pandemic now sweeping the globe.

Though many believe Spears' intention was to promote the political philosophy, the quote could also be interpreted as yet another simple celebrity response to the COVID-19 outbreak, which has continued to have a massive impact on the global economy. Last week, Spears shared a video on her Instagram encouraging fans to reach out if they needed assistance, saying "Whether it's food or getting your child diapers of whatever it is, DM me and I will help you out".

People were quick to call Britney out online, with one person writing: "Patriots sign Britney Spears after record-shattering 100m dash".

"We will learn to kiss and hold each other through the waves of the web", it reads.

The decision was a major blow to Japan, which has invested more than $12 billion in the Olympics and had for weeks insisted that they would go ahead as planned, even as the pandemic grew.

"We will understand our own importance from the places we must stay", the post concludes.

She captioned the text image with red rose emojis, part of the official logo of the Democratic Socialists of America, and the line, "Communion moves beyond walls". "We can still be together". And she was like, 'I dunno honey I think I might just quit it.' I was like, 'What? "I'm happy my work moved [Spears] because she moved me a lot while I was growing up".

"I wasn't expecting comrade britney spears today, but this is welcome", another tweeted.

Needless to say, Twitter is losing its absolute collective mind, calling Spears a "communist queen" and bumping the term "Comrade Britney" into its trending list.
