'Gwent: The Witcher Card Game' finally arrives on Android
26 March, 2020, 14:15
One of the game's mini-games (small games within the game itself) is Gwent, which has Geralt challenging people in various locations into a friendly card game. If you have a GOG account, then cross-play with iOS and PC is available. Players can download the game for free right now from the Google Play Store.
The Android release arrived nearly a year to the day after CD Projekt Red announced it was working on smartphone versions of the free-to-play title.
Android is the latter of the two mobile versions of Gwent to release.
Of course, one of the main draws of Gwent in The Witcher 3 was battling random villagers to win their cards to add to your collection, and that's not exactly possible in the real world, but if you really want that thrill why not pick up The Witcher 3 game instead?
"The Android version of GWENT brings the complete gaming experience to more mobile devices". Whether a device meets the game's compatibility requirements or not can be checked by visiting GWENT's product page on Google Play.
In celebration of the recent release, all players who log in to the Android version of GWENT before 31 March, 10:00 a.m. GMT, will receive a free Ultimate Premium Keg. Any player who pre-registered for the Android version will also receive the Imperial Golem avatar immediately upon login.
If you have an Android phone, you can finally download Gwent. There will also be multiple extra daily rewards throughout the game's launch week.
