The 47-year-old star, who has tested positive for the disease alongside his wife Sabrina, railed against the idea in an Instagram video last night, as reported by the Sun. "But then I be seeing these basketball players say like, 'Yeah, I have the coronavirus, but I don't got no symptoms.' So how the f-k am I supposed to know when I'm supposed to get tested for it?" Does that make me preferential? "I don't understand that".

"It shouldn't be about whether the rich or poor gets it".

Speaking to fans: Idris also spent time replying to followers, telling one who asked if he had had any symptoms at all: 'No not really. the day I got tested I had body aches and a headache'. "It's the quickest way to get people sick that way".

The actor continued: "People wanna spread that as if it's news". It's no benefit to me and Sabrina saying that we got it and we ain't got it. "I don't even understand the logic of that".

Idris Elba's wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, had a odd interaction over Instagram live, when a faceless stranger tried to ridicule her for acting "excited" about testing positive for coronavirus after her husband's prior diagnosis. "I am just trying to keep my mind clear".

"I don't feel anything that would come to what people would now expect to be a symptom of coronavirus, which is really unusual", she said.
