"We don't know what the impact of this will be in undernourished children with chronic malnutrition, we don't know what the impact of this will be in in overcrowded refugee camps".

Mr Cummings could not immediately be reached.

Sir Ed Davey, acting leader of the Liberal Democrats, called for Mr Cummings to quit over the allegations, while a spokesman for Labour said: "The British people do not expect there to be one rule for them and another rule for Dominic Cummings".

The Daily Mirror and The Guardian newspapers reported that Cummings left his London home and traveled to his parents in Durham, some 400 kilometers (248 miles) in the northeast of the country with coronavirus symptoms.

"Owing to his wife being infected with suspected coronavirus and the high likelihood that he would himself become unwell, it was essential for Dominic Cummings to ensure his young child could be properly cared for", a Downing Street spokesman said.

Mr Cummings is said to have been present at his family home when police from Durham Constabulary turned up on March 31, following a call from someone reporting they had seen Mr Cummings in the area.

Mr Cummings, formerly one of the key strategists behind the Vote Leave campaign, wrote about his experience of isolating with his wife, Mary Wakefield, in the Spectator magazine.

The BBC reports that Cummings has denied breaking lockdown, and made the journey so his parents could help look after his son while he and his wife were sick.

Earth's Magnetic Field Weakens on an Expanded Area, Scientists Say
According to the report, the Earth's magnetic field has lost 10 percent of its intensity in the last two centuries. Researchers say Earth's South Atlantic Anomaly doesn't have enough direct proof of magnetism in Earth's past.

"To beat this crisis we need to be selfless as millions have been".

Days after Boris Johnson evaluated favorable for coronavirus, policemans presumably approached his vital advisor to clarify the lockdown rules as well as guidance versus non-essential traveling after he was found some 375 kilometres north of the funding. Downing Street said he was self-isolating at home. The public have made extraordinary sacrifices during this pandemic and the lockdown.

Prof Susan Michie, of University College London, who is a member of Sage, the scientific group that has guided the government's response to the coronavirus, suggested Cummings' trip would undermine trust in the official advice on the outbreak.

Dave Penman, the general secretary of the FDA, the union that represents senior civil servants, said Johnson had a duty to explain Cummings' behaviour.

Police have confirmed they attended a property in County Durham after it emerged that Dominic Cummings, who is Boris Johnson's chief adviser, travelled more than 260 miles from his London home during the lockdown. In early April, Catherine Calderwood, the chief medical officer for Scotland, resigned after breaking lockdown to visit her second home.

Meanwhile, Tulip Siddiq, the Vice Chair of the Labour Party, said that No 10 "needs to provide a very swift explanation for his actions".

"In line with national policing guidance, officers explained to the family the guidelines around self-isolation and reiterated the appropriate advice around essential travel", the statement added.

According to a joint investigation by the Daily Mirror and the Guardian, at the same time as the UK Government was instructing people to remain home - with fines in place for those contravening the rules - Mr Cummings chose to escape the capital.
