The Ministry of Health announced this afternoon there have been no new cases of Covid-19 reported in the last 24 hour reporting period.

Leaders in the county's minority communities have said they expected the virus to exacerbate existing health disparities.

The new case yesterday was linked to the St Margaret's cluster in Auckland.

In today's update, which also says they've confirmed three new cases, a chart shows the total confirmed cases per 10,000 people. "Presumptive cases are those without a positive diagnostic test who present COVID-19-like symptoms and had close contact with a confirmed case". There now have been 68 county residents who have died from COVID-19 and 1,304 who have been infected.

Mason County Public Health was notified Friday, May 22, 2020 of the additional positive test.

A Phase 2 trial has already begun in Wuhan that is randomized, double-blinded, and placebo-controlled. Of course it would be vastly better if immunity could be generated by a vaccine.

"As we move into Phase 3 of the "Back on Track Indiana" guidance, I am very comfortable with results of these efforts and I believe that we can continue to move forward with Governor Holcomb's plan to reopen the state and our county", Dubois County Health Officer Dr. Ted Walfart said in a press release.

The department has become aware of underlying health conditions that were not previously disclosed, but were identified by the Wood County Coroner.

As of Thursday morning, a total of 2,071 COVID-19 test results from Josephine County have returned negative.

The number of people recovered remains at 1455, or 97 percent of all confirmed and probable cases.
