Broadway actor Nick Cordero, whose battle with COVID-19 has made him one of the most public faces of the pandemic, is still "fighting" despite a recent setback, according to an Instagram Stories update from his wife Amanda Kloots. "I am once again asking for prayers - all the prayers right now", she said on Instagram Stories. So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers today. Her husband, she says, has "the eye of the tiger", adding that "the power of prayer is real". Kloots later revealed that Cordero had holes in his lungs.

Though Kloots didn't specify exactly what her spouse's "bad morning" entailed, the evening prior on May 19, she suggested Cordero was having respiratory issues - as is common with COVID-19 - specifically in his left lung.

Since being diagnosed with COVID-19 in late March, the actor has been hospitalised and placed in an induced coma before enduring further complications relating to the deadly virus, including leg amputation, irregular heartbeats and septic shock.

Trump to Stop Taking Hydroxychloroquine ‘In 2 Days’
The anti-malaria drugs have been prescribed as a preventative measure in various countries to combat the coronavirus pandemic. A Wisconsin woman with lupus says she has taken hydroxychloroquine for 19 years and still was infected with the coronavirus.

"Dada is awake. He is awake, guys", she said to her friends and followers on Instagram while dancing around in excitement with the couple's 10-month-old son, Elvis. "I have my masters in optimism!"

In a separate Instagram message posted Wednesday afternoon, Kloots wrote, "Mega prayers for this special man right now". However, the doctors insisted that his symptoms matched that of Coronavirus.
