China's Wuhan finds no new COVID cases, 300 asymptomatics in tests

"Wuhan has tested 9.89 million people during its ten-day citywide nucleic test campaign, found 300 asymptomatic carriers, and no confirmed cases", a municipality official said, according to daily Global Times.
China reported the highest daily increase in coronavirus cases in almost three weeks with 16 new infections discovered on May 31, as the number of the so-called imported cases jumped in southwestern Sichuan province. Of the five new coronavirus patients detected on Saturday, two were imported cases reported in Shandong Province.
Since the start of the outbreak, Wuhan reported over 50,000 cases of the deadly infection.

Asymptomatic patients of COVID-19 refer to people who tested positive in nucleic acid or antibody tests but have not developed any symptoms, such as fever, coughing and fatigue. Over 11 million people live in the city, known for its high-tech industry. However, they pose a risk of spreading the disease to others.
Wuhan was the hardest hit Chinese city and accounts for the majority of the 4,634 deaths and 83,022 infections reported in mainland China. While 78,304 patients have recovered, 63 are undergoing treatment in hospitals, the NHC said.
