Los Angeles Lakers Make Huge New Signing

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to sign swingman J.R. Smith to a rest-of-season contract, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

This deal with Smith will happen before Tuesday's 11:59 p.m. ET deadline of the NBA's "transaction window".

LeBron James liked a post about JR Smith joining the Lakers for the National Basketball Association restart in Orlando, thereby confirming re-uniting with his old teammate.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the report, adding that the a contract is expected to get done on Monday.

It only said the two pilots were medically fit and experienced, while investigators say human error was behind the crash. He also pinpointed that the Civil Aviation Authority didn't issue show-cause notices to any pilot so far.

JR Smith, a free agent, will come in as a replacement to Avery Bradley.

Smith hasn't played in the National Basketball Association since the 2018-19 campaign and that was an abbreviated campaign in which he only saw action in 11 contests. He appeared in only 11 games for the Cavaliers a year ago before reaching a buyout agreement with them.

They will travel to Orlando for the much-awaited restart the following week. This effectively reunites him with LeBron James, who he played with in Cleveland.
