The official teaser trailer for Jennifer Hudson's Aretha Franklin biopic RESPECT just dropped - and it's as electrifying as the opening bars of its iconic title track.

Respect follows Franklin's beginnings as a singer in the church choir through her breakthrough as a music superstar.

Franklin, who in 2018 died of pancreatic cancer at the age 76, was a producer on the film.

Even so, 1 individual who's previously a large lover of the film is Brigitte, who tweeted a backlink to the teaser trailer and wrote along with it, "A must see movie!"

At Tuesday's hearing, Fauci initially declined to directly answer a question by Sen. Fauci further warned against states skipping steps on reopening.

Respect is one of two upcoming Aretha Franklin projects, the other being a National Geographic limited series, Genius: Aretha, which is set to star Cynthia Erivo as the Queen of Soul. Bet on Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Hudson (Best Actress), Mary J. Blige (Supporting Actress), Forest Whitaker (Supporting Actor) and hopefully for director Liesl Tommy, and possibly cinematography, production design, costume and hair & makeup.

What you want in an Oscar contender, baby, Jennifer Hudson's got it. The release of Respect was, in fact, scheduled in August precisely on the occasion of the anniversary of death, but the coronavirus emergency forced MGM to postpone the release until December.

The producers are Scott Bernstein (Straight Outta Compton) and multiple Grammy-nominated producer Harvey Mason Jr.(Dreamgirls), who has produced music for both Aretha Franklin and Jennifer Hudson.
