Hot New Hip Hop claims that today, McGregor accepted a fight challenge from Khamzat Chimaev, who called him out on his Twitter account. Conor said succinctly in response, "I accept!" after the young fighter called him out and said he wasn't "cocky", he was just "confident" in his ability to fight an exceptional talent.

On Thursday, Conor McGregor tweeted the two words "I accept" to his 8.2 million followers, piquing the curiosity of his fans about what he could possibly mean.

While the context of McGregor's tweet is uncertain, many saw that as the Irishman agreeing to face Chimaev inside the octagon.

"That was (for) Khamzat", White told reporters, including MMA Junkie, after UFC on ESPN+ 31 weigh-ins.

Chimaev is quickly making a name for himself in the UFC, this after earning two wins in the past month at UFC Fight Island.

"Khamzat posted, 'I want Nate Diaz, Masvidal then McGregor.' And McGregor said, 'I accept.' That's what that was". He declined to comment further.

Death rate from COVID-19 in India comes down to 2.15 percent
The positivity rate - percentage of patients who have tested positive for coronavirus - stood at 8.57 per cent this morning. At least 779 deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 35,747.

McGregor previously teased a boxing bout with Pacquiao in January. You know he wants the Khabib (Nurmagomedov) fight. I don't see somebody that can stop me. "I promise you, brother, I'm going to finish him in the first round", Chimaev said.

The Irish fighter is apparently trying to do the same with Pacquiao, who signed a deal with Paradigm Sports which manages McGregor.

Moments later. Conor responded - "I accept!".

"Notorious" could very well be referring to boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

It remains highly unlikely that McGregor would face Chimaev next, with the Irishman now retired.

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor has hinted on a UFC return with a tweet which has not revealed much but enough to create a flutter.
