According to Sports Illustrated, the SEC will have a 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

John is a very well-sourced insider reporting on Southeastern Conference sports, most recently on the league's effort to preserve a 2020 college football season.

"I believe if we follow the protocols we have in place, the Hurricanes will have a successful season both on and off the field, " Frenk said. "We were listening to advice from a number of medical professionals, our medical task force of the SEC, and others, and felt like delaying the season start, kicking back the championship game a couple of weeks, gives us flexibility to deal with things that may happen during the season".

Central Michigan isn't directly affected by Thursday's SEC announcement, but the Chippewas certainly feel the Eagles' pain, after they lost nonconference games against Nebraska and Northwestern when the Big Ten made a decision to play a conference-only schedule earlier this month. How the SEC will get out of those contracted non-conference games this fall is unclear, though Dellenger said a "scheduling format" provision may offer a free pass. Sterk said the football program could use the longer ramp-up to take scheduled days off and otherwise make sure student-athletes are ready to play after no spring ball and a limited summer session. The season was originally scheduled to start September 5 against Charlotte at Neyland Stadium.

It won't look like it usually does, but the SEC is still planning to play a college football season in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stats Perform News understands the Spain Under-21 global will cost City £21.2million (€23m), plus further add-ons. The two clubs reached an agreement which also includes add-ons that could be worth an extra £11m ($14m).

"We weren't six feet apart, we were probably about 20 feet", Wildhack quipped, "and I think I stayed the 20 feet apart when I told him who we were playing on the road". But college students, including athletes, roam campuses and mingle with other coeds, likely making every day a scary one for coaches trying to keep the situation in check. The postponement allows schools to judge the effects, from on-campus students to local coronavirus cases.

Wildhack said the university continues to put together various models for hosting fans in the event NY state lifts its ban on spectators at sporting events.

In bringing Notre Dame into the conference, the two sides agreed to share all TV revenue among the 15 schools, including Notre Dame's exclusive agreement with NBC. "The Board's decision presents a path, if public health guidance allows, to move forward with competition".

In a normal year, the 14 football conference members are divided into the Atlantic and Coastal divisions, with the division champs meeting in the conference title game to earn an automatic bid to a major bowl game.
