Perhaps, this deal will get folded into the Jrue Holiday trade with Eric Bledsoe and/or George Hill going to the Thunder (who'd surely look to flip another productive guard for even more picks). Less than 24 hours after the move was announced, the details emerged in the trade for Adams, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

After seven seasons with the Thunder, the Kiwi star is reportedly set to be traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.

On the first night of free agency during an abbreviated National Basketball Association offseason, Thunder general manager Sam Presti continued his transaction spree late Friday night.

Now, Denver will reroute the 2023 pick to Oklahoma City as a part of the trade, and Oklahoma City is also receiving two future second-round picks in the deal from New Orleans, sources said. Moving on from Adams would be a further exodus of experience from the now rebuilding Thunder, with Danilo Gallinari agreeing to terms with the Atlanta Hawks earlier in the day and Chris Paul being traded to Phoenix.

Then, not long after getting Rubio and Oubre, Oklahoma City would deal them to other teams. Oubre gives the Warriors a wing player that can replace Klay Thompson amid his season-ending injury. However, as things stand, Adams would likely link up with rising sensation and 2019 No 1 draft pick Zion Williamson in the Pelicans' starting frontcourt.

Oklahoma City acquired veteran big man Al Horford earier this week, raising doubts about Adams' future with the side.
