All the senior US defense officials who met Karoblis on November 13 and Monday, including Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller, were tested for COVID-19, the Pentagon said in its statement.

Miller spent Wednesday visiting troops in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and touring the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia, with his new chief of staff, Kash Patel.

Tata was one of the several senior USA defense officials who met on November 13 with Lithuanian Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis, who had contracted the virus. "Additionally, DoD personnel who had contact with the delegation have received or are receiving at this time rapid COVID tests as deemed necessary based on CDC protocols".

Video of the visit showed Miller shaking hands and hugging people at Ft.

According to media reports, Tata posted tweets in 2018 calling Obama a "terrorist leader", incorrectly referring to him as a Muslim and describing Islam as the "most oppressive violent religion I know of".

Apple to pay $113m to settle iPhone 'batterygate'
This new investigation was launched by more than 30 states, including Arizona , Arkansas, and IN , according to a press release. A judge is yet to approve the new settlement of up to US$ 113 million , so it may be a while before Apple compensates anyone.

The Lithuanian embassy told the Pentagon of Karoblis's positive test on Thursday, it added. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows tested positive after attending an election night party at the White House.

Earlier that month, the Marine Corps' assistant commandant, Gen. Gary Thomas, tested positive, days after it was announced that the Coast Guard's vice commandant, Adm. Charles Ray, was infected. Others who were at the party also tested positive, including White House political director Brian Jack, former White House aide Healy Baumgardner and Trump campaign advisers David Bossie and Corey Lewandowski.

The statement only said Tata had become ill.

"We have and are continuing to conduct further contact tracing of DoD personnel who have had close contact with the Lithuanian delegation or Mr. Tata, and are taking appropriate precautions in accordance with CDC guidelines", according to the Thursday statement from Hoffman.

However, because standard Covid mitigation guidelines were followed during Miller's meeting with Karoblis and meetings with Tata, Miller "is not quarantining", Hoffman said.
