Although it's not all good news for our "American"; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human... and other.

Englund, 73, has been a horror mainstay for years, but he's best known for playing Freddy Krueger, a child murderer who was burned alive by the vengeful parents of the neighborhood he terrorized, only for him to return with his razor-claw glove to invade the dreams of their children - with deadly consequences.

"Joining as new series regulars are Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Peter Ballard, "a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital" who becomes exhausted of witnessing the hospital's brutality every day"; Eduardo Franco as Argyle, Jonathan's (Charlie Heaton) new best friend who is "a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza"; and Joseph Quinn (Catherine the Great) as Eddie Munson, the head of The Hellfire Club, Hawkins" official D&D club, which is also notably the title of the first episode of season 4. Exhausted of the brutality he witnesses day after day, will Peter finally take a stand?

The young cast of Stranger Things better lock their doors because Freddy is coming for them!

Many Stranger Things fans applauded Englund's casting. Let us know in the comments.

On Twitter, several users called the combination of Englund and Stranger Things "epic", while others just reacted to the news with "OMG".
