For CES 2021, ASUS has refreshed the Zen AiO 24 with the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors.

Conclusively, the corporate confirmed off its new line of desktop processors, the Ryzen 9 5900 and the Ryzen 7 5800. As per AMD, the single-core performance will see improvements of up to 16% when compared to its competition. The HX series is for the gamers and content creators, whereas the latter is used for thinner and lighter form factors. "The Ryzen 5000 series actually sets the new bar for leadership performance". The company says that the processor offers up to 17.5 hours of general usage battery life and up to 21 hours of movie playback on a single charge.

"This is where the energy efficiency of the Zen 3 core truly shines", she said.

The new series features H and U series processors. AMD has also announced Ryzen PRO 5000 series mobile processors and over 150 consumer and commercial notebooks based on the processor will available throughout 2021. Its flagship Ryzen 9 5980HX chipset comes with an 8-core/16-thread design, providing a base frequency of 3.3GHz. You can tell which is which because the Zen 2 chips have less than half the cache.

The Ryzen 9 5980HX has a 17% increased multithreaded, and 23% increased single threaded performance over last generation. The H-series models are based on Zen 3 architecture while the U-series have Zen 2 architecture.

Robert Hallock, AMD's director of technical marketing, said the chipmaker chose to bifurcate architectures for the Ryzen 5000 U-Series because it "really meets our customers' demand".

The company made several announcements during the event, including the launch of its Ryzen 5000 mobile processors and a preview of what we can expect when third-generation Epyc, codenamed Milan, debuts later this year. For select OEM systems, the HX processor variants will be unlocked for overclocking.
