The 38-year-old actress who was born Anne Jacqueline Hathaway, wants everyone to call her "Annie" moving forward, as she told Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday's episode of The Tonight Show.

Anne Hathway said as she began to share a story about a mistake that changed everything for her; Call me Annie, everybody.

So, in the future, if you ever run into the Hollywood A-Lister.make sure you call her Annie!

Turns out, fans have been calling Anne Hathaway by the wrong name for her entire career!

As reported by Page Six, her mother, however, is the only person in her life who calls her "Anne" and that only happens when the matriarch is upset with the superstar.

"It doesn't fit", she said. "People call me Miss H, people call me Hath, so feel free, call me anything but Anne".

Despite being officially called Anne, the actress has revealed that in some film projects that she has been a part of, other co-stars and crew members have abided by her wishes and not called her by her birth name. "Our 4-year-old believes everything we tell him, and that's adorable as well as very useful".
