Ellen DeGeneres returns to speak present after recovering from Covid-19

"Obviously there are a lot of negative things going on, so I wanted to talk about something positive: my Covid test", she says in her opening monologue.

"It's the only symptom I had", DeGeneres said Wednesday.

"I was inn hair and makeup, getting my face powdered and my extensions put in, and my assistant Craig walked in and said, 'You tested positive for COVID, '" Ellen recalled.

Jokes aside, she said she slept "16 hours a day" for the first three days. I spoke to my brother and told him about the back pain, he had a friend with the same then and then I spoke to several other people. She was put on a steroid pack, but that led to some "edgy" symptoms, so Ellen stayed on pain pills with the muscle relaxants. But in addition to having to deal with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, reports started coming out about DeGeneres' alleged mistreatment of the people working for her.

After talking to other people, Ellen found out that back pain is a symptom of COVID, and that was the only symptom she had throughout her battle. "I didn't lose my sense of taste, although I did wear Crocs with socks for a day", she joked. It was like I had cracked a rib... you know what I make you feel when you laugh so hard that your ribs hurt? "That was it for me".

She then went on to share her experience with the highly infectious virus. I wear a mask.

"I learned that things happened here that never should've happened".

Television, the studio behind DeGeneres' show, also had six staff members with positive COVID-19 test results in the days before DeGeneres announced her positive test, according to Los Angeles' Department of Public Health. "The steroid pack worked, but here's the thing with steroids: They make you feel really fast and really pissed off".

She continued, "I left the studio immediately and our COVID safety team informed everyone that I had been in contact with. Which is unbelievable... I didn't realise that you could run, Andy".

She called out producer Andy Lassner in particular.

DeGeneres finished with a message to her viewers who are doing to tough during the pandemic. As always I hope this show will give you some joy. "Everything's clear", she reassured fans.

"I'm very, very fortunate".

"I'm fine now", she said.

It capped off a horror 2020 for DeGeneres, who returned to TV in September after months off the air, and directly addressed the toxic workplace scandal that had tarnished her image.
