Their latest effort - titled Waiting On A War - comes from an emotional and moving conversation that Dave Grohl had with his daughter, Harper. Rather than wait out the indefinite storm of the pandemic, Grohl said "We finally realized that our music is made to be heard" and the band has opted to release the album without a tour.
The band also recently released a sentimental documentary focusing on their 25 years as a band.
In contrast to the two previously-released, hard-rocking singles, "Waiting On A War" is a more contemplative meditation on the state of impending doom. "I wrote 'Waiting on a War" that day". Because I need more.
The shoes are the Sk8-Hi variety and showcase the Foo Fighters logos, the traditional double "F" and their script font which has a similar to the font color on The Colour And The Shape album cover. "[It's] kind of like a dance record, but not an EDM, disco, modern dance record".
"Waiting On A War" arrived on Thursday, Jan. 14 which is coincidentally Dave Grohl's birthday. The Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman officially turned 52 years old this year. Pre-orders are available here.
