The Biden-Harris Inauguration Committee announced earlier this week that the theme of the inauguration will be "America United".

The single article of impeachment that lawmakers started voting on shortly after the presidential statement came out charged Trump with "incitement of insurrection", citing both his role in the deadly Capitol riot last week as well as his repeated baseless claims that the election was marred by widespread voter fraud.

Timberlake announced on Instagram this Wednesday that he and Ant Clemons have co-written a song called Better Days that will be featured on the special.

But since then, the security concerns have intensified, as more has been learned about the attack on the Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump, which left five people dead, and the potential threats surrounding the January 20 inauguration. "Had Trump won, I think we would have changed the nature of who we are as a country for a long time".

The special, Celebrating America, will air in primetime on multiple networks and streaming services following the inaugural events.

Operation Warp Speed has been holding back half of the doses in an effort to make sure recipients could receive their second dose. Both vaccines now in use require two doses, three to four weeks apart, for maximum effectiveness.

Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake are also set to make an appearance. It will also be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, DirecTV and several other streamers.

President-elect Biden's inauguration is expected to be vastly different to previous inaugurations due to the pandemic, but the traditional swearing-in will still take place at 12 noon on January 20th (5pm Irish time).

It will pay tribute to "American heroes", including workers on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19.

The television special "will showcase the American people's resilience, heroism, and unified commitment to coming together as a nation to heal and rebuild", the inaugural committee said.
