After that, Iwiński goes into some details regarding the state of the console version at launch.

So despite working well for high-end PCs, it couldn't be adjusted to older generation consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One, making in-game streaming hard. They are all incredibly talented and hard-working.

"As it turned out, our testing did not show numerous issues you experienced while playing the game", read a new post from the company. CDPR says that during their testing, they didn't face numerous issues that the users did and that they were confident they would sort things out in the day zero update. Our plans for supporting Cyberpunk 2077 in the long-term are unchanged, and we will continue to introduce updates and patches to give all players across all consoles and PCs a better experience with the game.

The ultimate goal is to fix the game with smaller and bigger patches to fix the bugs and issues with the game. "As we got closer to the final release, we saw significant improvements each and every day, and we really believed we'd deliver in the final day zero update". There should also be some unspecified hotfixes similar to what we have gotten so far. Now, almost a month after the game was first released and then subsequently pulled, CD Projekt RED still can't tell us exactly when the game will be put back on the digital marketplace for Sony consoles. After all, there are plenty of bad quality games on the PlayStation Store that haven't been removed.

China reports 115 new coronavirus cases, biggest increase in five months
Jinzhong city in Shanxi province also initiated strict control on gatherings after two asymptomatic cases from Hebei was detected. Beijing city authorities have also stepped up screening and prevention measures to prevent another cluster from developing there.

I have a few issues with Iwiński and CDPR's statements. According to Iwinski, the increasingly complex game presented a series of challenges on PS4 and Xbox One and in-game streaming proved to be a hurdle that was particularly difficult to overcome due to the limited hard drive bandwidth on those systems. CDPR has already worked with these machines for their Witcher games so it's not like they weren't familiar with them. Progress was being made, but more time was needed to fine-tune the experience.

Third, the fact that they were still working on the console version mere days before launch is patently absurd.

Q: Why was there a gap between PC and console reviews?

Iwiński explained that the reason why there was such a performance gap between PC and last-generation consoles is that the studio wanted to make the best possible version of Cyberpunk 2077 on PC first and then adjust it to fit console hardware.
