The storm is expected to bring up to 10 inches of snow to parts of central New Jersey.

A few locations are at or just above freezing, but the National Weather Service continues to have a Freeze Warning and Winter Storm Advisory in effect for most places until 9 a.m. "Public works will be hard at work, but with the weather continuing through the morning commute, it's likely icy roadways will cause travel issues this morning", Portland police wrote on Facebook.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting the snow will mainly occur after 10 a.m. Thursday with a total snow accumulation of between three and five inches. Coastal areas, including Southern Maine, are expected to see sleet accumulation of 3/4 inch and ice accumulation of 2/10 to 3/10 of an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

A wintry mix - including snow, sleet and freezing rain - fell Tuesday across central ME, as a midwinter storm created messy travel conditions in much of the state.

Five to 8 inches of snow is expected and with colder temperatures extending farther south, the snow/sleet/freezing rain line could be descending as well, the weather service said. As the night goes on, some data sources show that it all transitions to rain by Thursday morning.
