Jeff Barath, manager for HRK Holdings at Piney Point, held back tears while briefing Manatee County commissioners on the incident Thursday, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Randy Warren, the Public Information Officer with Manatee County Sheriff's Office said in a written statement that they will be moving 345 inmates to a secure location to make room for the remaining 721 inmates in the upper level of the jail.

The water being discharged is mostly seawater from the Port Manatee dredge project, process water and storm water, officials said.

Florida state Rep. Michele Rayner-Goolsby, a Democrat, said she was OK with Wells' plan.

Florida officials are urging residents in the surrounding areas of a wastewater storage pond to heed evacuation orders ahead of a potential overflow of polluted water. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency Saturday after a significant leak at a large pond of wastewater threatened to flood roads and burst a system that stores polluted waters.

To prevent a full-fledged breach and contain spillage, local work crews on Sunday continued actively pumping tens of thousands of gallons of toxic wastewater per minute into Tampa Bay.

It is still unknown if the clots are a side effect of the vaccine or merely a coincidence but the MHRA stress the benefits continue to outweigh any risk.

Crews have been discharging water since the pond began leaking in late March.

Ron DeSantis, the Florida governor, toured the scene by helicopter on Sunday and said at a press conference engineers were still attempting to plug breaches in the reservoir wall with rocks and other materials.

So far, 316 homes have been evacuated and state authorities have closed a number of roads.

"What we're looking at now is trying to prevent and respond to, if need be, a real catastrophic flood situation", DeSantis said. Some families were placed in local hotels.

Now about 22,000 gallons of water are being discharged per minute, and Hopes said he expects the risk of collapse to decrease by Tuesday.

"We're talking about the potential of about [480] million gallons, within a matter of seconds and minutes, leaving that retention pool and going around the surrounding area", Scott Hopes, the Manatee County Administrator, said Saturday.

Early Sunday, officials saw an increase in the water leaking out, but Hopes says it seems to have plateaued.
