The Kremlin said on Wednesday that Russian Federation would keep military forces near its border with Ukraine for as long as necessary.

The Ukrainian military on Thursday announced that another of its soldiers had been killed, bringing to 25 the number of troops killed since the start of the year, compared with 50 in all of 2020.

Recently, with their military build-up across the Ukrainian border, Russian Federation has signalled that it may launch another military operation against Ukraine, leading to policymakers in Kiev to push their political agenda to join North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. Between a ceasefire being signed last July and the end of 2020, just four Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the Donbass conflict.

"Thank you for keeping people calm and protecting our land. We remember every warrior who died defending our state".

Zelensky asked Johnson and Trudeau to increase global pressure on Russian Federation and support a NATO Membership Action Plan () for Ukraine.

Asked if the USA plans to accelerate the process of Ukraine's North Atlantic Treaty Organisation accession against the backdrop of Russia's military build-up along the border with Ukraine, Price simply reiterated Washington's support for Ukraine's ongoing reforms.

Kiev's Western allies have repeatedly warned Russian Federation against taking further action and seeking explanations for its troop build-up on Ukraine's border.

Ukrainian separatists are widely seen as having Russia's political and military backing, which Moscow denies.

California To Fully Open Economy June 15
Effective June 15, he said the state will end its current blueprint system that places counties in a color-coded tier system. Mark Ghaly, said California has vaccinated 20 million residents and more than 4 million equity doses.

Peace talks mediated by France and Germany since 2015 have failed to end the fighting.

According to Landsbergis, that would be "a strong signal to Russian Federation that Ukraine's chosen transatlantic direction is appreciated and resonates among North Atlantic Treaty Organisation states".

He said that this, "together with the forces already deployed near the border of Ukraine, poses a threat to the military security of the state".

The Kremlin's chief negotiator with Ukraine, Dmitry Kozak, said Thursday that the activities of Ukraine's army aren't likely to lead to a large-scale military operation and are more of a public-relations move.

The US government has responded enthusiastically to Ukraine's request to allow North Atlantic Treaty Organisation membership.

Alliance members responded with calls for Kiev to continue military and defence reforms.

Russia says the troop movements are defensive and a senior Russian official has said Moscow has no plans to intervene in the conflict in eastern Ukraine that began in 2014. He has in recent days appealed to his country's Western allies for support. If there is, as our president says, Srebrenica, apparently we will have to step in to defend (them)'.

The conflict broke out in 2014 after Moscow annexed the Crimean peninsula and has claimed more than 13,000 lives.
