In addition to the public performances, the company will offer two performances for students from Title 1 schools in the area during the school day on Friday, Dec. 8, which New Territory dancer Lexi Pisano, 13, is looking forward to.

“It brings me such joy when we light up their faces in the crowd,” said Pisano, who has been dancing for 11 years and danced eight times in “The Nutcracker.”

“These students at the school performances are so happy to be able to attend the Nutcracker Ballet and I am so blessed to be a part of this special outreach service project.”

Telfair sisters Juliette and Lisa Van Dijk, both, 13, enjoy the perks of performing a childhood favorite.

“It allows us dancers to create many new memories together, and it’s a way for us to give back to our community,” said Lisa.
